
The Butrint Management Foundation (BMF) is pleased to announce a call for applications for research grants supporting academic and scientific projects related to the Cultural Heritage and Cultural Landscape subzones of Butrint National Park.

Who Can Apply?
- Higher Education Institutions;
- Public and private scientific research institutions whose activities include scientific research;
- Individual researchers affiliated with research institutions.
Priority Areas
The grant scheme will support research projects in the following priority fields:
- Archaeology
- History
- Geology
- Economics
- Structural Engineering
- Ecology
- Agriculture
- Social History
- Heritage Management
- Visitor Management
Grant Information
BMF supports scientific and academic research projects through a total funding pool of up to USD 30,000.
Application Requirements
Applications must include the following documentation:
- Completed Application Form (Annex 1);
- Financial Proposal Budget completed in accordance with Annex 2;
- Cover letter describing the proposed project, signed by the head of the institution;
- Curriculum Vitae of the scientific and academic personnel involved;
- General Grant Conditions as set out in Annex 3;
- Declaration of Commitment by the academic/scientific personnel;
- Copy of the institution’s statute or official extract demonstrating that scientific or academic research in the field of the proposed project is among its core activities;
- Cooperation Agreement, where the project involves multiple partner institutions.
Submission of Applications
Applications must be submitted both by post and by email.
